LÖV Closes Strong in the Northwest

Another Friday night was not just ordinary in Lynnwood. Sandberg Northwest Volvo opened its doors to 44 excited onlookers ready to check out the New XC60! New customers, long time customers, families and friends were amazed at City Safety and just how well it worked.

Comments overheard were:

“What a beautiful car – worth the wait.”
“This evening was such a pleasure – thank you.”
“This interior is elegant.”

4 customers even put a deposit down on this new car and should take delivery in the next 45 days. Great job by Scott and his team for a wonderful event.

The XC60 LÖV Tour now moves over the border into Canada for its next stop in Vancouver.

Look for the XC60 to appear at NFFTY (National Film Festival for Talented Youth) on April 24-26th...

Barrier Volvo Welcomes a Record Crowd!

We knew there were plenty of people waiting in the wings for the XC60 LÖV Tour to land at Barrier Volvo, but a record setting 119 people. Who would have thought!

That's right, a record crowd created so much action that we even had to have 2 City Safety courses set up to handle people who wanted to find out what it was all about. And the buzz that was created early in the week even got ahold of Jon Curley of Evening Magazine fame as he rushed over Thursday to try and prove the XC60's City Safety system wrong. Needless to say he lost!

Look for Jon's story on XC60 to air this coming Monday March 30th at 7 pm.

More than 8 people bought cars yesterday at Barrier and many are even picking theirs up through Overseas Delivery in Goteborg, Sweden in the coming months. There are many reasons why more people in the Northwest buy their Volvo's this way than any other place in North America. Will you be next?

Jon Curley of Evening Magazine takes on XC60

What's the buzz? Jon Curley and Evening Magazine want to know. Jon took on Celesta and the XC60 today at Barrier Volvo in Bellevue. And even though Jon was determined to win (really determined!) XC60 and City Safety showed Jon who is boss in slow moving situations vs other cars.

Jon was a hoot and a gentlemen, and graciously concided to the XC60 but not without leaving the onlookers chuckling in the distance. I think even the XC60 was laughing with or at Jon!

XC60 in Husky Country

Although the Huskies bowed out of the Tourney early, Volvo's XC60 entered Husky country to pick up the ball where they left off! Nestled in the Ravenna District, Bob Byers Volvo is only steps from University Village. They have been selling and servicing Volvo's for years, and their faithful clientale of Westside hipsters came by to show their support on Wednesday night.

The LOV Tour also attracted some Seattle Bloggers in search of what XC60 and City Safety is buzzing about! Search for their blogs too in the near future. Even a Terra Bronze labradoodle struted his stuff in the showroom to see if he would like his new digs in the back of an XC60!

Special thanks to Doug and Sue Byers who opened the doors to their customers and the LOV Tour team and showed them what Westside cool is all about. Not to mention some of the best Swedish Meatballs to hit the LOV Tour food charts yet!

Record Sales in Tacoma

The LOV Tour turned 8 new people into New Volvo believers on Tuesday night in Fife. Rumor is that this is a record for new cars sold at a LOV Tour Event on the West Coast.

Almost 50 people were greeted by a lavish spread of food, ABBA music, and even a chef getting his Swedish LOV on! 5 people signed up for new XC60's as Dave Kreg and his team at Volvo of Tacoma served up the Swedish meatballs in Tacoma's brand new 'Next Face' Volvo store.

Next stop, Bob Byers Ravenna Volvo...

Feeling the LOV in Olympia

XC60 visited the State Capital today, and many braved the rain in the South Sound to see what this City Safety is all about. Almost all in attendance braved the elements outside to see just how City Safety on the all new XC60 works. Most common word heard, "WOW!"

We really enjoyed all the Overseas Delivery stories from their longtime customers who have time and again ventured over to Sweden to pick up their brand new Volvo. Maybe their next journey will be to pick up an XC60!

LÖV Under the BIG BLUE VOLVO Sign!

Like a magnet in the Portland cityscape, the big blue Volvo sign shines brightly atop Jim Fisher Volvo. For over 50 years, this dealership has been place where Volvo has lived. And when the doors opened and the LÖV Tour began, over 80 of the Fisher Faithful descended upon 21st & W Burnside to learn about all things XC60!

They came early, young and old, kids or no kids to join the Fisher family and learn more about what Volvo is saying. "LÖV is decades of safety leadership standing behind one car, making it quite possibly the safest Volvo in the history of Volvo."

Some comments heard through the night included:

“This car is beautiful. Thank you for such a wonderful opportunity.”

“We travel to Disneyland every year in our Volvo, and would never take our kids in anything else!”
